Allen Key:
Allen key is the most common and well known brand of hand
tools. Especially it is a hex key wrench. This Allen brand is owned by Apex
Tool Group.

William G. Allen patented a drawing for making hex socket
set screws, in 1910. It was a new concept and avoided the classic square head
protrusion. The new design of this safety screw reduced the chances of
accident. “Allen wrench” and “Allen Key” these terms comes from Allen brand
name and it refers to the “Hex keys”, the generic product category.
"Allen Safety Set Screw" is a revolutionary
product and using world wide as a quality tools for turning the fastener. Apex
Tool Group (formally Allen Manufacturing Company) is manufacturing L-Key. Folding
and T-Handle style in Dallas, Texas and Shanghai, China.
